Run, Naomi, Run!
Run, Naomi, run . . . from pastoral Ohio to the wild Palouse.
Naomi Milner saw no grand destiny for herself, just toil and travail and trouble. Before her thirtieth year, she had moved with her family to a raw Nebraska homestead; buried sister, father and brother; married a man she didn’t love to escape another she despised; and made three places home in newly-settle Washington State and Idaho.
This is a woman’s tale, a story of Everywoman. In Naomi, we get a vision of what really built the West, and what it was like to be one of the builders.
Naomi’s secrets of success are her grit, humor and determination to not let life get her down. Her destiny was no more or less glorious than the home she made on the Palouse in the wilds of Idaho.
